Another song for another Ex, I'm starting to notice a pattern here.
Originally I had planned to write songs for people I loved and proceeded to do so, writing over 60 love songs in just under 3 years...and to all those who loved me and hurt me, thank you.
'Cause without all of you, I'd be a wreck somewhere with a less than satisfactory life behind and ahead of me, but it's because I write songs that I'm able to be happy about who I am and what I've done.
Even though this song was for someone very special with whom I did a fair few things, who I now hate more than anyone I've ever known...I know that unfortunately I'll never forget them and that is what hurts the most.
P.S If only you'd have picked me...think on. </3
lyrics
(Sepia tone my life)
(Sepia tone my life, sepia tone my life)
You turn off the lights and I'll light up a candle
Tonight we'll lay down by the fire
We don't have to leave this house until the winter's over
'Cause all I need is by my side
This year let's do something different together
(Sepia tone my life, sepia tone my life)
Take me back through time, a hundred years or more
Let me see life through your eyes
Sepia tone the life I once knew'cause I want to lift this disguise
It's like looking through a mirror at the world that came before
Just break the glass, take my hand, try to help me understand
The life that we have planned for me and my victorian lover
(Sepia tone my life)
(Sepia tone my life, sepia tone my life)
As we watch the snowflakes fall
Outside our window
I think about all those years before
And how nothing's changed at all
This year let's do something different together
(Sepia tone my life, sepia tone my life)
Take me back through time, a hundred years or more
Let me see life through your eyes
Sepia tone the life I once knew 'cause I want to lift this disguise
It's like looking through a mirror at the world that came before
Just break the glass, take my hand, try to help me understand
The life that we have planned for me and my victorian lover
But like a wish on Christmas morn, you disappear with the snow
And leave that world, that you used, empty and alone
Another year's over, yet everything's the same
Next year will you remember my name?
Take me back through time, a hundred years or more
And let me see life through your eyes
Sepia tone the life I once knew 'cause I want to lift this disguise
It's like looking through a mirror at the world that came before
Just break the glass, take my hand, try to help me understand
The life that we had planned for me and my victorian lover
Victorian lover
(Sepia tone my life)
Sepia tone my life, sepia tone my life
(Sepia tone my life, sepia tone my life)
My victorian lover
Began to write music upon turning 12, Starting a debut album Birth Of The Bird near the time my grandma passed on.
Consisting of songs based on real life events that happened during early 2008, with later albums, continuing along that theme. I produce songs that are full of emotion, so they end up becoming stories more than songs....more
This is a band I’ll constantly support. They make amazingly relaxed music called Chillstep, something you can put on & be transported away. Please check them out if it's the one thing you do today! Prince Pheonix
The latest album from Renards new collection, from listening to the tracks on Bandcamp you can tell it's done by the same composer yet with a flavour that's noticeably different to his old music Prince Pheonix
